About Us
The Miss Rome Scholarship Program had been around about 30 years prior to the Pilot Club of Rome taking over the pageant in 1986. Wanda Whitten was named the Executive Director. Wanda became a Miss Georgia Field Director in 2005 and Andrea Pitts became the Executive Director and still remains in that position. Miss Rome changed its name to Miss Historic North Georgia in 2000 with the crowning of Heather Holland. We returned to the name Miss Rome in 2007 with the crowning of Jenison Cooper. We have had lots of beautiful and talented candidates and given out thousands of dollars in scholarships. Miss Rome serves as an ambassador for Rome and Floyd County.
